These panels are influenced by 19th Century naturalists, landscapes, horticultural specimens, insects and geological phenomenon. Paintings on wood provides an ideal medium to convey the color, texture and temperament of the imagery that inspires me.

Allegory is the foundation of my art. Elements extracted from historical context are reordered and assume another character. The eye is coaxed to ponder and the mind is challenged to interpret.
